Clare Meyer is from Houston, Texas, and is a second-year Master of Engineering student in Video Game Development, Design, and Innovation. Before attending Duke, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied Arts & Entertainment Technologies and Dance. In the AET department, she developed expertise in future-facing industries such as video game development, live event technologies, programming, visualization, storytelling, sound, and immersive media. At UT Austin, she served as Recruitment Captain for Texas Tri Delta and Philanthropy Chair as a Silver Spurs Sweetheart for UT Silver Spurs, the on-campus organization that takes care of UT’s mascot, Bevo. At Duke University, she currently serves on the Duke Board of Trustees Strategic Engagement Program for Science in Technology where she works with the Board to assess areas of strategic growth and impact, develop strategies to attract transformational philanthropy, and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and innovation. She also serves on the Pratt School of Engineering Student Advisory Board and the Young Trustees Nominating Committee in 2025. In summer 2025, she interned at Epic Games at its headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. She loves using video game technology to tell meaningful stories, create immersive 3D worlds, and build experiences that bring people together. Her goal is to apply real-time 3D game technology to product visualization and building interactive digital twins that help solve problems.
