Throughout history, the fine arts have adapted to different societies, emerging technologies, and new ways of life. Recent innovations in Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) have found their way into the field of dance. The intersection of technology and the fine arts holds the potential to innovate and transform performance and artistic expression while redefining the nature of dance and how audiences and critics view and assess it. As we explore the possibilities of incorporating generative AI into dance, we explore the boundaries of human and machine collaboration. By combining AI and choreography training, choreographers will unlock creativity and students learning how to choreograph dance will have a less daunting and more straightforward experience when making new movement sequences.
